The role of an academic at Singapore Polytechnic involves teaching Statistics at diploma and higher levels, developing curriculum for both diploma and continuing education, and leading training for adult learners. The appointee is also expected to deliver courses in at least one of the following areas: Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Programming, or Mathematics.
In addition, the appointee will teach at least one of the following broad-based, foundational modules under the common core curriculum to equip students with essential digital and human skills: Data Fluency, Artificial Intelligence and Its Impact, Persuasive Communication with Data Storytelling, Problem Solving with Creative and Computational Thinking.
The position includes opportunities to contribute to consultancy and applied industry/research projects, as well as administrative duties related to teaching and strategic initiatives.
