Licensed Practical Nurse- Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center

University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing is seeking a 100% Licensed Practical Nurse to work in our Holden Comprehensive Cancer Clinic. Duties to include:

• Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
• Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
• In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel.
• In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.
• Performs patient care related to vital signs, lab draws, setting up and assisting with minor procedures, in-clinic treatments, point of care testing and other duties as assigned.
• Provides psychological support to the patient and family based on assessed needs.
• Other duties as assigned....
