Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse/Team Leader, the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides nursing care to the Veteran patient with consideration to psychosocial, cultural, and age specific needs. Demonstrates the knowledge and ability to provide a full range of practical nursing care to patients with a variety of physical and/or behavior problems, and knowledge of age specific differences from the adult or older population. Maintains acceptable standards within the health care setting and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician. Provides nursing care in accordance with the overall philosophy of Ambulatory Care Service.
