We are looking for a Refuse/Recycling Loader to join our depot in Richmond, North Yorkshire. You will be covering a significant rural area with picturesque towns and villages.
Working in small crews in your dedicated area of the county, you will be collecting residual waste, garden waste or recyclable materials from domestic properties. The role is very physical and so, you will have to be able to walk long distances, move bags, wheelie bins and recycling bins and boxes, and use a lifting mechanism to tip the waste into the lorry. Health and safety is also critical to ensure your team and residents are safe, including supporting your driver to help them navigate the streets of North Yorkshire safely.
The role is a hugely important one. You will be on the front-line of a key service in North Yorkshire Council and therefore. As required, you need to be prepared to start early and weekend working may also be required.
