Whipps Cross University Hospital, part of the Barts Health NHS Trust Group is looking for a full time Consultant Geriatrician to join our Older People's Services (OPS) team based predominantly on the Whipps Cross Hospital site.
The post offer an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and to develop new models of working and services that support all older people attending the hospital and within the local community. Whipps Cross Hospital serves a local population with a high degree of frailty and within the Barts Health Group is being developed to be a centre for Geriatric Medicine.
The post-holder is expected to be based in an acute geriatric medicine ward providing care for patients with multimorbidity and frailty.
The service currently supplies inpatient services including Acute Geriatrics, a Frailty unit, Orthogeriatrics, Surgical liaison. We also provide CGA clinics, we support memory services ...
