An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced cancer nurse to join the cancer services team at Walsall HealthCare NHS Trust. The Lead Cancer Nurse will provide strategic leadership for the cancer nursing and Allied Health Professional (AHP) workforce, ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care. This will involve working with key stakeholders such as the West Midlands Cancer Alliance (WMCA), Integrated Care Boards (ICB), Macmillan and local commissioners to ensure the national and local cancer agenda is implemented.
Lead the nursing agenda to develop specialist cancer services in support of the 10‑Year Health Plan for England and the National Cancer Plan 2026.
This role will ensure cancer care for all patients within the Trust is of a high standard, equitable and consistent and in line with national and regional guidance.
