What you will be doing
This is a hands‑on position within the Engineering team, focused on ensuring the reliability, performance and safety of site equipment and facilities at the Wincanton location. The role involves carrying out mechanical and electrical maintenance, supporting day‑to‑day operations, and contributing to continuous improvement of plant performance.
- Mechanical service, repair, replacement of: motors, gearboxes, couplings, seals, pumps, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.
- Electrical service, repair, replacement of: motors, sensors, valves, control gear, VSDs, servos, instrumentation, power distribution systems, safety systems etc.
- Takes care of the electrical and mechanical settings, documenting them where possible.
What you will need to succeed
- Recognised engineering apprenticeship or HNC/HND in Engineering with 5 years minimum experience in a reactive production environment.
