Job Description
Responsibilities - Track all inbound freight from assigned vendors and coordinate with Material Planning & Transportation Operations to prevent production disruptions.
- Identify possible critical part numbers or sequenced commodities that could impact production efficiency due to vendor past‑due status, material adjustments, or plant damage.
- Establish emergency plans when vendors lack a recovery plan for stock replenishment.
- Analyze second sources (Tier2), material transfers from other DTNA locations, or aftermarket options to determine alternatives.
- Select the most appropriate and cost‑effective transportation and track transit of critical material.
- Analyze operations practices to identify process and cost‑improvement opportunities, preventing excess material and avoiding obsolete part numbers.
