Overview: The Mechanic follows directions from supervisors and assists with repairing and maintaining everything from small engine to large heavy equipment. Also vehicles ranging from Trucks to transports. Responsibilities: Diagnoses mechanical problems. Applies knowledge, skill, and mechanical aptitude to correctly fix vehicles and equipment. Aware of and applies basic rules for safe construction and mechanic work. Does physically demanding work (work in awkward or cramped positions; lift 50 pounds repeatedly; tolerate loud noises; work outside in all weather conditions; and experience cuts and bruises). Works overtime as necessary and travels as requested. Pleasant and tactful when dealing with co-workers. Understands and abides by all relevant OSHA regulations. Has a valid Medical Card.
