Mechanical Fitter – Rolling Stock Interior Refurbishment

Location: East Ham 
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (08:30 – 16:30)
Rate: £27.83 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: 3-Month Contract

The Opportunity:

Experienced Rail Mechanical Fitter required to support internal aesthetic restoration work on rolling stock vehicles at East Ham Depot. This is a hands-on role focused on improving the internal condition and passenger presentation of trains.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Window film replacement
Tube light and inverter replacement
Passenger communication (Passcom) cover replacement
Seat removal and replacement
Door yellow strip replacement

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience as a mechanical fitter on rolling stock
Strong attention to detail, particularly in cosmetic and interior finishing work
Ability to carry out small modifications and restoration tasks to a high standard
