SewerVUE Technology | burnaby, Canada | Posted June 01, 2026

Job Description

SewerVUE Technology builds autonomous sensor platforms that inspect large-diameter water and sewer pipelines from the inside. Our MPIS Floats carry LiDAR, sonar, cameras, through live-flow pipes up to 1,000 m in a single run. We're looking for someone who can design and build motor-driven wheel attachments that give our floats active propulsion and steering capability inside the pipe.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Mechatronics Engineer located in Coquitlam, BC. The Mechatronics Engineer will oversee the design, testing, maintenance, and enhancement of robotic systems and sensor technology used in pipeline condition assessment.

Our current floats are passive — they ride the flow. That works well in high-flow conditions, but it limits where and how we can deploy. We need motorized wheel modules that bolt onto the float body and drive it through pipes with low flow, against flow, or in dry conditions. The wheels ne...
