Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description
This position involves working within a pulmonology clinic connected to a hospital, managing approximately 120-150 patients monthly. The patient volume for this Medical Assistant will vary as they become familiar with the different providers within the clinic.
Responsibilities

+ Assist physicians/providers by rooming patients, documenting signs/symptoms, vital signs, BMI, and reviewing medical history.

+ Perform set-up for procedures, assist with procedures, and handle dressing changes, suture/staple removal, and DME fittings.

+ Manage phone calls from patients regarding medical questions, test results, and medication refills, and communicate effectively with providers.

+ Schedule tests and procedures, obtain prior authorizations, and ensure patients understand preparation instructions.
