**Medical Laboratory Scientist – Free Standing Emergency Department**

**This position resides in a Free Standing Emergency Department (FSED) that does not contain a Clinical Laboratory.**

**The Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) performs waived and moderate-complexity laboratory testing to support the timely diagnosis and treatment of patients and is responsible for independently performing and managing on-site testing activities within the scope of approved waived and moderate-complexity testing.**
