Responsibilities
Performs a variety of routine laboratory procedures to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease in the Histology lab.
- Retrieve specimens from Specimen Processing and prepare them for accessioning.
- Open, separate, number, and arrange Histology specimens for laboratory examination and processing.
- Set up and operate laboratory equipment in preparation for processing specimens and for preparing and staining slides.
- Prepare chemical solutions as required.
- Maintain accurate records for all test and control results.
