Function Patient services Facility Position Messenger | Patient Services Introduction

A vacancy exists for a Messenger position reporting to the Reception Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for hospital deliveries and the safe transport of patients throughout the hospital.

Critical Outputs

Messenger Duties:

Carry out hospital deliveries and trips as per authorisation.

Maintain accurate records of the logbook.

Maintain the vehicle cleanliness etc.

Check and report faults to ensure road worthiness.

To perform drivers, function in accordance with the region policies and procedures, SHEQ requirements and the Road Traffic Act and Regulations.

To successfully complete the advanced driver training course.

A strong commitment to teamwork and the ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.

Knowledge of Hospital Procedures.
