Job Purpose: To support prototyping, model making, and fabrication activities across academic and interdisciplinary research projects. This role involves managing and operating workshop facilities while mentoring students in translating design concepts into physical prototypes and functional models.
The position is ideal for candidates with strong expertise in wood and/or metal fabrication along with exposure to mixed-material model making processes used in design education and product development.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students and faculty in fabrication, prototyping, and model-making activities across wood, metal, plastic, ceramic, and mixed-material workshops. Operate and maintain workshop equipment including woodworking and metalworking machines, laser cutters, 3D printers, and finishing tools.
