Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Labor & Delivery operations in a 24/7 hospital environment and ensure safe, high quality maternal and neonatal care.
- Manage a high volume L&D unit (400+ deliveries per month) and oversee all aspects of patient care, staffing, and workflow.
- Supervise and develop nursing staff, including coaching, performance feedback, and succession planning.
- Translate hospital business plans into unit level action items, track performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage budgets, payroll, and non payroll resources, and ensure cost effective, compliant operations.
- Implement and maintain quality, safety, and regulatory standards (Nursing Practice Act, Joint Commission, state/federal requirements).
