The Nurse Practitioner is an expert nurse within an area of practice incorporating advanced knowledge and skills. As an advanced clinician, the post holder will self‑regulate and practice within their area of competence and experience. You will ensure that patient health needs are met through the provision of diagnosis and the management of patient conditions through assessment, treatment and review planning in partnership with patients.
The role involves providing care to people with a focus on assessing, diagnosing, treating, empowering and supporting patients and their whanau using evidence‑based knowledge and skills to achieve optimal health outcomes.
