**Job Summary and Responsibilities**

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) serves as an advanced practice nurse, providing primary and specialty healthcare services to patients across the lifespan. Working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, the NP delivers comprehensive care, promotes health education, and advocates for patient wellness.

+ In collaboration with the Chief of Neurology and faculty, assumes clinical responsibility for tasks performed within Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice. This includes but is not limited to: taking patient histories, performing physical examinations, performing appropriate procedures (i.e., venipuncture, lumbar punctures, intramuscular injections, etc.), ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, establishing diagnosis and provide care and management for common conditions in Neurology adult patients.
