Position Summary: Provides high quality nursing care for assigned patients in a scientific and humanistic focus. The Newly Licensed Registered Nurse (NLRN) utilizes a holistic systems approach to protect and promote client wellness and safety in the physiological, psychological, social cultural, developmental, and spiritual domains. The NLRN must be a graduate of a Diploma, Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program and have passed the state board examination by the New York State Board of Nursing before beginning employment. NLRNs who are graduates of a Diploma or Associate Degree program or possess a non‐Nursing Bachelor’s Degree must demonstrate completion of a BSN program within 5 years of hire.
