Job Summary
The Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs that promote the professional growth, competence, and ongoing development of nursing staff. This role supports clinical staff through evidence-based education, skill development, and continuous learning initiatives to enhance patient care quality and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
• Orientation/Onboarding:
o Develops and delivers orientation programs for newly hired nursing staff
o Ensures orientation content aligns with policies and procedures
o Incorporates topics required by regulatory and accrediting agencies
o Facilitates new hire access to the organization's systems (e.g., electronic health record, medication dispensing, etc.)
