The post provides consultant input to the Ealing East Cognitive Impairment and Dementia Service (CIDS) within the Older People's Mental Health Service (OPMHS) as part of Ealing Community Partnership (ECP), working closely with the Ealing Specialist Older Adult Service (SOAMHS) to ensure seamless and holistic care of patients presenting with dementia co‑located in the same clinic.

Ealing East CIDS provides early assessment, treatment and care planning of people with primary dementias. It is a specialist commissioned service with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team. The Care Quality Commission awarded the West London NHS Trust Community‑Based Mental Health Services for Older People a Good rating. The service also links with the HSE nominated CHILS team, which provides bespoke specialist mental health treatment for patients residing in a care home.
