Job Description
Description EMTs will usually work a 48-hour on/96-hour off schedule; however, that may vary depending upon scheduled transfers or call volume demand, and may include holidays and weekends.
- Good eyesight, hearing, manual coordination, and dexterity.
- This position requires sitting, standing, bending, walking, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and climbing stairs for long periods of time.
- Be able to push a stretcher, wheelchair, or stair chair and position clients frequently.
- Use proper body mechanics while performing duties safely.
- Able to bend, lift, push, drag, hoist, and pull over 70 pounds or more is required. e.g., equipment and or assisting clients.
- The work is physically demanding when assisting clients, and one must be able to successfully pass a Physical Agility Test.
- Exposure to a variety of weather conditions. e.g. Ice, snow, ...
