**Academic Open Rank Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, Sports Medicine**

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Virginia is seeking candidates for a tenure eligible Open Rank Professor position to start August 2027. This clinical faculty position is responsible for providing exceptional patient care in the management of orthopaedic sports medicine with a strong commitment to musculoskeletal research.

Candidates with experience and/or focus in all sub-specialized areas of orthopaedic sports medicine, including knee and shoulder, will be considered. Candidates with a particular area of experience and/or focus in athletic hip injuries, hip arthroscopy, and hip preservation are favored. Team coverage of high school and Division 1 collegiate athletics will be a critical aspect of this position.
