Our federal Government client is seeking a licensed and experienced Optometrist to provide essential eye care services within a correctional health setting across multiple institutions in Quebec. The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and upholding the highest standards of optometric care in a secure environment.TasksPerform comprehensive eye examinations, assess visual acuity, and diagnose ocular diseases such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.
Conduct vision testing including refractive error measurements, perimetry testing, and verification of prescription lenses.
Provide treatments for eye conditions such as conjunctivitis, blepharitis, and uveitis, including prescription of medications.
Prescribe corrective lenses aligned with Essential Health Services Framework, and validate eyewear fit upon receipt.
