**Aerotek is currently hiring for Outside Machinists to work at the Huntington Ingalls Shipyard in Newport News, VA. Qualified outside machinist will have a minimum of 2 years of experience working on US Navy or commercial vessels. Pay is $35/hr plus $140 per day worked in tax free per diem.**

**Responsibilities**

+ Install hull inserts, main engine, propulsion plant machinery, and equipment.
+ Conduct valve overhauls, AC & refrigeration repairs, and hydrostatic testing.
+ Operate lathes, boring bars, cargo cranes, and portable milling/drilling machines.
+ Perform installation and alignment of pumps and motors, including ALRE Pump/motor.
+ Execute optical alignment and hydrostatic testing of systems.
+ Install hydraulic components, air compressors, and weapons elevators.
+ Conduct boiler operations tests and install boiler tube replacements.
