POSITION SUMMARY
This PRN role supports diagnostic services within The Department, contributing to both anatomical and clinical pathology functions. The position involves general surgical case review, frozen section evaluation, and collaboration with a small pathology team that provides laboratory oversight across a hospital setting and associated outpatient sites. Autopsy work is not required.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Board eligible or board certified in Pathology
• Residency training in pathology
• Training or experience in anatomical and clinical pathology
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Illinois
• Experience or interest in cytopathology
COMPETENCIES
• Proficiency in surgical pathology case interpretation
• Ability to perform intraoperative frozen section assessments
• Skill in reviewing diverse specimen types across multiple organ systems
