• Patrol Officer I – $48,903.70
• Patrol Officer II – $50,126.29
• Master Patrol Officer – $52,632.59

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform general law enforcement work in a Community Policing environment.
• Traffic control.
• Prevent, detect, and investigate crimes.
• Apprehend criminal suspects.
• Present testimony in court.
• Prepare records and reports.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Considerable knowledge of modern law enforcement practices and procedures, including Community Policing philosophy.
• Knowledge of NC law and general statutes.
• Effective interaction with the public and ability to maintain working relationships with other employees.
