Reporting to the Manager of the Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) and in compliance with clinical trial regulations, the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) standards of nursing practice, and the Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology (CANO) practice standards of care, the Research Nurse screens potential eligible CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB) patients/clients for clinical trial eligibility, ensures that the initial and ongoing consent/assent process is performed and documented, organizes study-specific treatment plans and monitors the ongoing progress of adult and/or pediatric patients enrolled in a clinical trial. The Research Nurse will also review potential/pending new studies for nursing feasibility.
