Working Hours Mon-Thurs: 830-6pm
Fri: 830-530pm
Provide assistance to the healthcare staff by providing venepuncture service and rendering basic care for patients in Acute Medical Unit
Job Description - Perform venepuncture for the collection of blood specimen for dispatch to the laboratory
- Update in electronic medical record for blood specimen that has been collected and dispatched to the laboratory
- Perform blood sugar check using a POCT machine
- Practice universal precautions when performing any procedure
- Assist nurse in administering oxygen for patient
- Assist patient in performing lower limb exercises
- Perform inventory management in the ward
- Assist healthcare staff in re-positioning of patient in bed
- Assist in improving, identifying and implementing changes in the work processes of the Phlebotomy service
