The Centre has a statutory remit under Section 37(1) of the Education Act 1998 to provide services for schools, teachers, parents, boards of management and other personnel who support the education of primary and post-primary pupils. AESC works collaboratively with the Department of Education and Youth, Oide and other key stakeholders to promote high-quality teaching and learning through the facilitation and provision of professional learning opportunities at local, regional and national level.
