Provide care for patients in cardiology with a primary focus on veterans referred for arrhythmia-related, coronary and structural heart diseases and respective procedures (e.g. transcatheter aortic valve interventions, percutaneous coronary intervention, ablations, cardiac device placements). Admit and follow patients referred/admitted for cardiovascular diseases and procedures in the CCU Observation Unit and MICU/SICU settings. Determine veteran eligibility for cardiac procedures, and consent for cardiovascular procedures. Prepare patients for the procedure via appropriate testing, medical care, and consultations with other medical/surgical services. Coordinate the in-hospital care plans and performance of procedures with various physicians and nursing services, vendors, and administration.
