Job Description

This role focuses on the installation of storm, water, and sewage piping systems on civil construction projects throughout the Richmond, VA area. The pipe layer works as part of a field crew to perform excavation, pipe installation, and pipe fitting while using construction tools and heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Install storm, water, and sewage pipe according to project plans, specifications, and grade requirements.
• Assist with excavation activities to prepare trenches and work areas for pipe installation.
• Set up and accurately use laser equipment to establish line and grade for pipe installation.
• Perform pipe laying and pipe fitting tasks, including positioning, aligning, and joining pipe sections.
