Reports To: Principal and Lead Nurse

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Contract Days: 187

Salary: Based on LC Salary Schedule

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current Alabama Registered Nurse License without restrictions
• Current BLS CPR certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
• Must hold a valid Alabama driver's license
• Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital or community health setting.

Purpose of Job:

To provide health services to students in assigned schools following federal and state laws and local school board policies. To promote the health and education of students as a result of school nursing practice. To maintain the health room including safe storage of medications, records, and equipment.
