Principle Research Scientist (Permanent, Full Time)

We are seeking a principal research scientist to joint the RAPID team on an open-ended appointment in the MPOC group at the NOC in Southampton.
About the role: The successful candidate will undertake and lead research on the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) and its role in the global climate system, and will contribute to delivering the RAPID programme’s goals of observing and quantifying the AMOC.
In addition, the successful candidate will lead a five-yearly repeat of the GO-SHIP section across the Atlantic at 26°N, co-located with RAPID.
