**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:**

This position will be part of the CHI at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), Galveston is a new Center formed in partnership between the School of Medicine and UTMB Health in 2021. CHI has a tri-partite mission of catalyzing rigorous research, helping UTMB to continue to evolve into a learning health system and enhancing population health in South-East Texas. We are recruiting faculty to help build The Center. Competitive candidates will be expected to have a history of independent research funding and a deep commitment to applied research that has impact at the level of the patient, healthcare system, or population.
