Job Title

The Clinic Director of General Mental Health (GMH-CD) is supervised by the Chief of Psychiatry or designee, working programmatically under the Outpatient Division Chief, Associate Division Chief, and/or Assistant Division Chief of General Outpatient Mental Health.

Job Description

The GMH-CD manages, directs, and oversees operation of a GMH clinic, in the Durham VA Health Care System (Complexity Level 1A (High) Facility). The clinic staff is comprised of 2+ multidisciplinary teams of physicians, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other staff members. In addition, the clinic is often a learning site for students and trainees (e.g., psychiatry residents, NP residents, social work and psychology interns/postdocs). The GMH-CD optimizes clinic operations to achieve Veteran and staff satisfaction, high-quality, recovery-driven care, efficiency, and adherence to VA policies and directives.
