Overview

Make your mark in conservation by protecting the heritage and visitor assets of Aotearoa. Salary Range: $61,189 - $67,446. Full time – 1 year fixed term / secondment role based in Twizel. Our vision: Nature is thriving in Aotearoa | Te Oranga o te Ao Tūroa Mō te tūranga. As a Ranger in the Twizel team, you will help to maintain and improve visitor facilities and protect key heritage sites across the Mackenzie/Waitaki Basin's andAoraki/Mount Cook National Park.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining campsites, picnic areas, car parks, toilets, and water systems.
  • Maintaining back‑country huts, bridges, and other structures.
  • Supporting office tasks such as data entry, planning, and coordinating field trips.
  • Assisting the wider teams when required.
