Research & Development Manager

Job Summary

Orchestrate all research activities for furniture design and manufacturing; develop a knowledge base and apply the acquired knowledge to the development of new and existing company furniture products. Validate set standards and improve manufacturing processes to ensure company products remain competitive.

Job Responsibilities

• Attend and actively participate in scheduled manufacturing committee meetings.
• Conduct regular weekly meetings with the R&D team.
• Initiate, direct, and conduct research in:
• Furniture design trends, home sizes, mechanisms or mechanical discoveries applicable to furniture.
• Metal and raw materials, competitive product makes, and best practices in furniture manufacturing.
• Study results and discuss applicable new or surfaced knowledge.
