The Recreation Specialist has the primary responsibility of coordinating and delivering components of the Recreation Program, as well as teaching and exploring projects and career opportunities in trade fields.

The individual will work closely with Volunteers, Cottage Parents, the Donald Ralph Cooke School, and Work Program site supervisors to conduct a diversified recreation and arts and crafts program.

Duties will vary with changing seasons and allow for the exercise of independent judgment within established program guidelines.

The Recreation Specialist reports directly to the Chaplain/Recreation Director.

This position is expected to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays based on program needs.

This position is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable law.
