Supports the business/group leader in the effective implementation, maintenance and administration of first line of defense (1st LOD) programs (e.g., operational risk, AML, compliance, regulatory). The role ensures adherence and efficiency of business operations within the jurisdiction, contributes to a robust risk management culture, and collaborates with first, second and third line functions to identify, mitigate, monitor and report risks.
Responsibilities
Monitors and advises on risk management requirements within the defined risk appetite.
Manages large or complex risk programs, frameworks, projects and initiatives to ensure risks are mitigated and regulations are adhered to.
Monitors industry and legislative developments and continuously updates programs to remain competitive and effective.
Interprets regulatory requirements, identifies, analyzes and addresses gaps and issues, including those raised through change initiatives.
