Nomura is looking for an experienced tax professional to join and be a key contributor to an existing regional tax team as well as the global tax management group. The candidate will typically be already operating in a tax advisory capacity in the Asia region across all areas of Wholesale Banking. The candidate should have demonstrated strong leadership and communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders, together with sound analytical and tax technical skills. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely alongside the Regional Head of Tax to achieve key objectives of Group Tax. The candidate should have demonstrated an ability to respectfully challenge the status quo, but at the same time ensure that all tax risks undertaken are managed within the firm’s tax risk appetite.
