Job Description
Position Summary:
To provide medical nutrition therapy, counseling and education in the outpatient setting. This may include but is not limited to diabetes education, weight management, renal disease, malnutrition, gastrointestinal disorders, cancer and cardiovascular disease. Act as a resource person in clinical nutrition for medical staff and the interdisciplinary team in the outpatient setting and the community. Adheres to departmental policies and procedures. Complies with regulatory requirements including State Department of Health and Joint Commission standards.
Education, License & Cert:
Master’s Degree (if credentialed after 2024-required) or a B.S in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Service Management, or related sciences with completion from an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics approved Internship or Coordinated Undergraduate Program.
