Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Wound Care is responsible for providing comprehensive wound, skin, ostomy, continence, and specialty tube care services for patients across the hospital. The RN collaborates closely with the Wound Care Nurse Practitioner, physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to promote evidence-based wound care practices, pressure injury prevention, optimal patient outcomes, and exceptional patient experiences.
The RN serves as a clinical resource and educator for wound care management, skin integrity initiatives, pressure injury prevention, and best practices while supporting quality improvement activities, regulatory compliance, and organizational goals.
