POSITION SUMMARY
The Registered Practical Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care to residents, in accordance with the policies of the Home and applicable legislation. As a valued member of Long Term Care and SeniorsServices, the Registered Practical Nurse demonstrates a commitment to resident safety by providing quality services in accordance with the organization’s mission and vision.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (not listed in order of priority)
- Provide personal nursing care to residents in accordance with administrative policies, physician’s orders, established standards and recognized nursing principles as directed by the Director, Resident Care or Registered Nurse.
- In conjunction with the Nursing team, identify needs of residents and develop and maintain appropriate care plans.
