Job Description
Role
- Engaging, innovative teacher with strong communication skills and collaborative team spirit.
- Work in mainstream and specialist schools, closely collaborating with DHH students, whanau, and school staff/teams.
- Full‑time permanent role covering caseloads in Mangere – Bucklands Beach and Takanini – Mt. Wellington.
- Maintain records, liaise with families and whanau to promote student participation and success.
- Proven best practice and experience working with Deaf children and/or mainstream children.
- Qualified Teacher of the Deaf or an experienced NZ registered teacher.
- Own vehicle with mileage reimbursed (subject to conditions).
- Existing skills or willingness to develop proficiency in New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) and listening and spoken language practices for DHH learners.
- Recent practical experience with early levels of the New Zealand Curriculum.
