About the role

We are seeking an engaging, innovative teacher with strong communication skills who is a collaborative team player. This is a permanent, full‑time role that supports students with Deaf and hard‑of‑hearing needs (DHH) in mainstream and specialist schools across Mangere - Bucklands Beach and Takanini - Mt Wellington.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with DHH students, whānau, and school staff or teams in both mainstream and specialist schools.
• Engage with the assigned caseload, maintain related record keeping, and liaise with families and whānau to assist with student participation and success in their education and life outcomes.

Qualifications and requirements

• Qualified Teacher of the Deaf or an experienced NZ registered teacher.
• Proven best practice experience working with Deaf children and/or mainstream children.
