The Rig Manager or Tourpusher is the supervisor of the rig and camp for the duration of their Tour. They coordinate the work of the crews who may be assigned to that rig + Supervision of the rig, camp and its personnel for a designated 12-hour period + Responsible for carrying out the drilling programs issued by the Operator in a safe and timely manner, during his designated 12 hour shift + Assist the Rig Manager with the overall administration of the rig, and the coordination of people, equipment and materials + Ensure that all personnel are working in a safe manner, and that all equipment is in a safe operable condition + Strive to develop a safe work culture at the rig site, and ensuring that the HSE directives from Ensign and the Operator are being followed + Assists the Rig Manager with all activities, in liaison with the Operator’s Representative and other service companies as necessary.
