Job Description
Scope of Service
Queen Emma Tower 9 Diamond Head (QET 9 DH) is a 24 bed unit with all private rooms, 24 rooms capable of , negative pressure, telemetry and ICU. The Advanced Respiratory and Emerging Infectious Disease Unit is designated as a medical unit caring for adult patients over the age of 18 years with pulmonary disease processes and those with infectious diseases.
The primary diagnoses associated with HIV/AIDS are opportunistic infections (OI) such as, but not limited to: pneumonia (PCP), cytomegalovirus (CMV) retinitis, mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) infections, malnutrition and dehydration. The primary pulmonary diagnoses include chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) exacerbated, asthma exacerbated, respiratory distress/failure and pneumonia.
