About the unit
We are an RN based Vascular Access Team. We provide 24 hour services throughout the inpatient and outpatient areas of the hospital. This includes peripheral IV, midline and PICC(peripherally inserted central catheter) insertion. We recommend the most appropriate access based on patient assessment. Other responsibilities include dressing changes, line troubleshooting and surveillance. We educate staff on the RIGHT LINE for the RIGHT PATIENT at the RIGHT TIME..
